Surah 12. Yusuf, Ayah 7
| ۞ لَقَدْ كَانَ فِي يُوسُفَ وَإِخْوَتِهِ آيَاتٌ لِلسَّائِلِينَ |
| Transliteration | : | la- qad kaana fe yosuf wa- 'ikhwah -hi 'aayaat li- as- saa'ilen |
| Pickthall | : | Verily in Joseph and his brethren are signs (of Allah's Sovereignty) for the inquiring. |
| Asad | : | Indeed, in [the story of] Joseph and his brothers there are messages for all who search [after truth].11 |
| Malik | : | Indeed in the story of Yusuf and his brothers, there are signs for inquirers. |
| Yusuf Ali | : | Verily in Joseph and his brethren are Signs (or Symbols) for Seekers (after Truth). 1638 |

Note - 1638In Joseph's story we have good and evil contrasted in so
many different ways. Those in search of true spiritual
knowledge can see it embodied in concrete events in this
story of many facets, matching the colours of Joseph's
many-coloured coat.
