Surah 13. Ar-Ra'd, Ayah 34



لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا ۖ وَلَعَذَابُ الْآخِرَةِ أَشَقُّ ۖ وَمَا لَهُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ مِنْ وَاقٍ


Transliteration : la- -hum cadhaab fe al- h.ayaah ad- dunyaa wa- la- cadhaab al- 'aakhirah ashaqq wa- maa la- -hum min 'allaah min waaqi(n)
Pickthall : For them is torment in the life of the world, and verily the doom of the Hereafter is more painful, and they have no defender from Allah.
Asad : For such, there is suffering in the life of this world;64 but, truly, [their] suffering in the life to come will be harder still, and they will have none to shield them from God.
Malik : They shall be punished in the life of this world, still more grievous is the punishment of the hereafter, and there is none to protect them from Allah.
Yusuf Ali : For them is a Penalty in the life of this world but harder truly is the Penalty of the Hereafter; and defender have they none against Allah. 1853

Yusuf Ali 1853 The consequences of sin may be felt in this life itself, but they are nothing compared to the final penalties in the life to come.
