Surah 16. An-Nahl, Ayah 70
| وَاللَّهُ خَلَقَكُمْ ثُمَّ يَتَوَفَّاكُمْ ۚ وَمِنْكُمْ مَنْ يُرَدُّ إِلَىٰ أَرْذَلِ الْعُمُرِ لِكَيْ لَا يَعْلَمَ بَعْدَ عِلْمٍ شَيْئًا ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ قَدِيرٌ |
| Transliteration | : | wa- 'allaah khalaqa -kum thumma yatawaffaa -kum wa- min -kum man yuradd 'ilaa ardhal al- cumur li- kay laa yaclam bacda cilm shay'(an) 'inna 'allaah calem qader |
| Pickthall | : | And Allah createth you, then causeth you to die, and among you is he who is brought back to the most abject stage of life, so that be knoweth nothing after (having had) knowledge. Lo ! Allah is Knower, Powerful. |
| Asad | : | AND GOD has created you, and in time will cause you to die; and many a one of you is reduced in old age to a most abject state, ceasing to know anything of what he once knew so well.79 Verily, God is all-knowing, infinite in His power! |
| Malik | : | Allah is the One Who created you, then He causes you to die; there are some amongst you whose lives are prolonged to an abject old age so that they know nothing after having known much. In fact Allah is the All-Knowing , Almighty. |
| Yusuf Ali | : | It is Allah who creates you and takes your souls at death; and of you there are some who are sent back to a feeble age so that they know nothing after having known (much): for Allah is All-Knowing All-Powerful. 2100 2101 |
