Surah 2. Al-Baqara, Ayah 269
| يُؤْتِي الْحِكْمَةَ مَنْ يَشَاءُ ۚ وَمَنْ يُؤْتَ الْحِكْمَةَ فَقَدْ أُوتِيَ خَيْرًا كَثِيرًا ۗ وَمَا يَذَّكَّرُ إِلَّا أُولُو الْأَلْبَابِ |
| Transliteration | : | yu'te al- h.ikmah man yashaa' wa- man yu'ta al- h.ikmah fa- qad 'otiya khayr(an) kather(an) wa- maa yadhdhakkar 'illaa 'olo al- albaab |
| Pickthall | : | He giveth wisdom unto whom He will, and he unto whom wisdom is given, he truly hath received abundant good. But none remember except men of understanding. |
| Asad | : | granting wisdom unto whom He wills: and whoever is granted wisdom has indeed been granted wealth abundant. But none bears this in mind save those who are endowed with insight. |
| Malik | : | He grants wisdom to whom He pleases; and whoever is granted wisdom is indeed given a great wealth, yet none except people of understanding learn a lesson from it. |
| Yusuf Ali | : | He granteth wisdom to whom He pleaseth; and he to whom wisdom is granted receiveth indeed a benefit overflowing; but none will grasp the message but men of understanding. |
