Surah 2. Al-Baqara, Ayah 37
| فَتَلَقَّىٰ آدَمُ مِنْ رَبِّهِ كَلِمَاتٍ فَتَابَ عَلَيْهِ ۚ إِنَّهُ هُوَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ |
| Transliteration | : | fa- talaqqaa 'aadam min rabb -hi kalimaat fa- taaba calay -hi 'inna -hu huwa at- tawwaab ar- rah.em |
| Pickthall | : | Then Adam received from his Lord words (of revelation), and He relented toward him. Lo! He is the Relenting, the Merciful. |
| Asad | : | Thereupon Adam received words [of guidance] from his Sustainer, and He accepted his repentance: for, verily, He alone is the Acceptor of Repentance, the Dispenser of Grace. |
| Malik | : | Then Adam received appropriate words from his Rabb and repented, and Allah accepted his repentance. Surely Allah is the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful. |
| Yusuf Ali | : | Then learnt Adam from his Lord words of inspiration and his Lord turned toward him; for He is Oft-Returning Most Merciful. 55 |
