Surah 2. Al-Baqara, Ayah 5
| أُولَٰئِكَ عَلَىٰ هُدًى مِنْ رَبِّهِمْ ۖ وَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ |
| Asad | : | It is they who follow the guidance [which comes] from their Sustainer; and it is they, they who shall attain to a happy state! |
| Malik | : | They are on True Guidance from their Rabb and they are the ones who will attain salvation. |
| Pickthall | : | These depend on guidance from their Lord. These are the successful. |
| Yusuf Ali | : | They are on (true) guidance from their Lord and it is these who will prosper. 29 |
| Transliteration | : | 'olaa'ika calaa huda(n) min rabb -him wa- 'olaa'ika hum al- muflih.on |
Note - 29Prosperity must be taken as referring to all the kinds of
bounty which we discussed in the note to ii. 3 above.
The right use of one kind leads to an increase in that
and other kinds, and that is prosperity.
