Surah 2. Al-Baqara, Ayah 98
| مَنْ كَانَ عَدُوًّا لِلَّهِ وَمَلَائِكَتِهِ وَرُسُلِهِ وَجِبْرِيلَ وَمِيكَالَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَدُوٌّ لِلْكَافِرِينَ |
| Transliteration | : | man kaana cadow li- 'allaah wa- malaa'ikah -hi wa- rusul -hi wa- jibrel wa- mekaal fa- 'inna 'allaah cadow li- al- kaafiren |
| Pickthall | : | Who is an enemy to Allah, and His angels and His messengers, and Gabriel and Michael! Then, lo! Allah (Himself) is an enemy to the disbelievers. |
| Asad | : | "whosover is an enemy of God and His angels and His message-bearers, including Gabriel and Michael, [should know that,] verily, God is the enemy of all who deny the truth."80 |
| Malik | : | Let them know that whoever is an enemy to Allah, His angels, His Rasools, Jibra'el (Gabriel) and Mika'el (Michael); Allah is an enemy to such unbelievers. |
| Yusuf Ali | : | Whoever is an enemy to Allah and His angels and apostles to Gabriel and Michael Lo! Allah is an enemy to those who reject faith. |
