Surah 22. Al-Hajj, Ayah 30

| Pickthall | : | That (is the command). And whoso magnifieth the sacred things of Allah, it will be well for him in the sight of his Lord. The cattle are lawful unto you save that which hath been told you. So shun the filth of idols, and shun lying speech. |
| Asad | : | All this [is ordained by God]; and if one honours God's sacred commandments, it will redound to his own good in his Sustainer's sight. And all [kinds of] cattle have been made lawful to you [for sacrifice and food], save what is mentioned to you [as forbidden].44 Shun, then, [all that God has forbidden and, most of all,] the loathsome evil of idolatrous beliefs and practices;45 and shun every word that is untrue, |
| Malik | : | This was the object for which the Ka'bah was built, and whoever honors the sacred rites of Allah, it is good for him in the sight of his Rabb. The meat of cattle is lawful to you, except what has already been mentioned to you; therefore, shun the abomination of idols and shun all false statements. |
| Yusuf Ali | : | Such (is the Pilgrimage): whoever honors the sacred rites of Allah for him it is good in the sight of his Lord. Lawful to you (for food in pilgrimage) are cattle except those mentioned to you (as exceptions): but shun the abomination of idols and shun the word that is false 2805 |
