Surah 26. Ash-Shu'araa, Ayah 227
| Transliteration | : | 'illaa 'alladhena 'aamano wa- camilo as.- s.aalih.aat wa- dhakaro 'allaah kather(an) wa- intas.aro min bacdi maa z.alamo wa- sa- yaclam 'alladhena z.alamo 'ayy munqalab yanqalibon |
| Pickthall | : | Save those who believe and do good works, and remember Allah much, and vindicate themselves after they have been wronged. Those who do wrong will come to know by what a (great) reverse they will be overturned! |
| Asad | : | [Most of them are of this kind -] save those who have attained to faith, and do righteous deeds, and remember God unceasingly, and defend them-selves [only] after having been wronged,101 and [trust in God's promise that] those who are bent on wrong-doing will in time come to know how evil a turn their destinies are bound to take!102 |
| Malik | : | However, an exception is made for those (poets) who believe, do good deeds, engage much in the remembrance of Allah and defend themselves when wronged, showing no vindictiveness. The unjust oppressors will soon find out what vicissitudes their affairs will take. |
| Yusuf Ali | : | Except those who believe work righteousness engage much in the remembrance of Allah and defend themselves only after they are unjustly attacked. And soon will the unjust assailants know what vicissitudes their affairs will take! 3238 3239 |
