Surah 3. Al-i'Imran, Ayah 58



ذَٰلِكَ نَتْلُوهُ عَلَيْكَ مِنَ الْآيَاتِ وَالذِّكْرِ الْحَكِيمِ


Transliteration : dhaalika natlo -hu calay -ka min al- 'aayaat wa- adh- dhikr al- h.akem
Pickthall : This (which) We recite unto thee is a revelation and a wise reminder.
Asad : THIS MESSAGE do We convey unto thee, and this tiding full of wisdom:46
Malik : This revelation which We recite to you is full of signs and wise reminders.
Yusuf Ali : "This is what We rehearse unto thee of the Signs and the Message of Wisdom."

Asad 46 Lit., "This We convey unto thee of the messages and of the wise tiding." The expression "this of the messages" bears, to my mind, the connotation of one particular message - namely, the one which follows immediately after this sentence.
