Surah 35. Fatir, Ayah 26
| ثُمَّ أَخَذْتُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا ۖ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ نَكِيرِ |
| Transliteration | : | thumma 'akhadhtu 'alladhena kafaro fa- kayfa kaana naker -i |
| Pickthall | : | Then seized I those who disbelieved, and how intense was My abhorrence! |
| Asad | : | [but] in the end I took to task all those who were bent on denying the truth: and how awesome was My rejection! |
| Malik | : | But in the end I seized the disbelievers, and behold, how terrible was My disapproval! |
| Yusuf Ali | : | In the end did I punish those who rejected Faith: and how (terrible) was My rejection (of them)! 3909 |
Note - 3909Cf. xxii. 44 and xxxiv. 45. The rejecters of Allah hardly
realise the terrible consequences to them individually
and collectively, if Allah's grace is withdrawn from them
and they are left to perish in their own sins and
wrong-doing.
