Surah 5. Al-Maida, Ayah 100
| قُلْ لَا يَسْتَوِي الْخَبِيثُ وَالطَّيِّبُ وَلَوْ أَعْجَبَكَ كَثْرَةُ الْخَبِيثِ ۚ فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ يَا أُولِي الْأَلْبَابِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ |
| Transliteration | : | jacala 'allaah al- kacbah al- bayt al- h.araam qiyaam(an) li- an- naas wa- ash- shahr al- h.araam wa- al- hady wa- al- qalaa'id dhaalika li- taclamo 'anna 'allaah yaclam maa fe as- samaawaat wa- maa fe al- 'ard. wa- 'anna 'allaah bi- kull shay' calem |
| Pickthall | : | Say: The evil, and the good are not alike even though the plenty of the evil attract thee. So be mindful of your duty to Allah, O men of understanding, that ye may succeed. |
| Asad | : | Say: "There is no comparison between the bad things and the good things,119 even though very many of the bad things may please thee greatly. Be, then, conscious of God, O you who are endowed with insight, so that you might attain to a happy state!" |
| Malik | : | Tell them, "Bad and good are not equal, even though the abundance of the bad may dazzle you; so fear Allah, O people of understanding, that you may prosper!" |
| Yusuf Ali | : | Say: "Not equal are things that are bad and things that are good even though the abundance of the bad may dazzle thee; so fear Allah O ye that understand! that (so) ye may prosper." 806 |
