Surah 5. Al-Maida, Ayah 50
| أَفَحُكْمَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ يَبْغُونَ ۚ وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ مِنَ اللَّهِ حُكْمًا لِقَوْمٍ يُوقِنُونَ |
| Transliteration | : | wa- li- yah.kum 'ahl al- 'injel bi- maa anzala 'allaah fe -hi wa- man lam yah.kum bi- maa anzala 'allaah fa- 'olaa'ika hum al- faasiqon |
| Pickthall | : | Is it a judgment of the time of (pagan) ignorance that they are seeking? Who is better than Allah for judgment to a people who have certainty (in their belief)? |
| Asad | : | Do they, perchance, desire [to be ruled by] the law of pagan ignorance?71 But for people who have inner certainty, who could be a better law-giver than God? |
| Malik | : | By rejecting the Divine Law do they wish to be judged by the laws of ignorance? Who is a better Judge than Allah for those who believe in Him? |
| Yusuf Ali | : | Do they then seek after a judgment of (the Days of) Ignorance? But who for a people whose faith is assured can give better judgment than Allah? 763 |
