Surah 56. Al-Waqi'a, Ayah 1
| إِذَا وَقَعَتِ الْوَاقِعَةُ |
| Transliteration | : | 'idhaa waqacat al- waaqicah |
| Pickthall | : | When the event befalleth. |
| Asad | : | WHEN THAT which must come to pass1 [at last] comes to pass, |
| Malik | : | When the inevitable event will come to pass |
| Yusuf Ali | : | When the event inevitable cometh to pass. 5222 |
Note - 1I.e., the Last Hour and Resurrection.

Note - 5222The Event Inevitable is the Hour of Judgment. People may
doubt now whether it will come. But when it comes, as it
will come, suddenly upon them, it will come with such
tremendous reality that it will be burnt deep into the
experience of every soul. No one can then be deceived or
entertain false notions about it.
