Surah 70. Al-Ma'arij, Ayah 44
| خَاشِعَةً أَبْصَارُهُمْ تَرْهَقُهُمْ ذِلَّةٌ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ الْيَوْمُ الَّذِي كَانُوا يُوعَدُونَ |
| Transliteration | : | khaashicah abs.aar -hum tarhaq -hum dhillah dhaalika al- yawm 'alladhe kaano yocadon |
| Pickthall | : | With eyes aghast, abasement stupefying them: Such is the Day which they are promised. |
| Asad | : | with downcast eyes, with ignominy overwhelming them: that Day which they were promised again and again....20 |
| Malik | : | Such will be the Day, which they are being promised. |
| Yusuf Ali | : | Their eyes lowered in dejection ignominy covering them (all over)! Such is the Day the which they are promised! |
