Surah 84. Al-Inshiqaq, Ayah 21
| وَإِذَا قُرِئَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقُرْآنُ لَا يَسْجُدُونَ ۩ |
| Transliteration | : | wa- 'idhaa quri'a calay -him al- qur'aan laa yasjudon |
| Pickthall | : | And, when the Qur'an is recited unto them, worship not (Allah)? |
| Asad | : | and [that], when the Qur'an is read unto them, they do not fall down in prostration?12 |
| Malik | : | and when the Qur'an is recited to them, they do not prostrate? |
| Yusuf Ali | : | And when the Qur'an is read to them they fall not prostrate. 6049 |
Note - 12I.e., seeing how consistently it stresses the divine law
of unceasing change and progression in all that exists.
